I got it!

So our lil man is talking more and more, although i find that only Josh and I sometimes know what he saying hahaha. He did put his first couple words together last week which I was really impressed to hear when I picked him up from the sitter. I went to grab his shoes out of the basket when he came over and said plain as day "I got it" I was pretty much shocked as I had never heard him say that or feel like that's a phrase we say at our house often but we must and not even notice it. I looked up at Kristine and she was like yeah he’s been saying it all day. And of course at this moment after it sunk in that it was his first "sentence" I began to tear up and tried to pack him up as fast as I could so she wouldn't notice and then I could cry all I wanted in my car hahaha damn hormones I hate that I really cant control them its so annoying!! So when we got home a made sure to get him saying it on video so here it is...

Don’t Poke the Bear

So I took Mega baby to Gymboree last week by myself because Josh was working on a car, and of course it was the most “interesting” one we have been to in a while. So each week has a theme and this time the kids were pretending to be horses. They had fake tails and the instructor had a bucket of these lil red fake apples that turned out to be the most popular props at Gymboree EVER!!! Which of course started a few altercations between kids if you will hahaha and of course Luke was right in the middle of 2 of them! So first, Luke had managed to get a pretty good bunch of these apples through out the night and was stacking them on top of a wooden rocking horse when the Alpha Female came over and wanted in on Luke’s good time. Now she’s the Alpha female because she is the oldest and tallest kid in the class so naturally that’s how it rolls. So when Luke said no she didn’t care too much for that response and weirdly attacked his face with both hands hahahaha now I say weirdly because its not like she hit him really but like almost tried to grab his neck area but caught is face instead, I dunno 2 year olds dude so you can imagine, anyway so Luke straight shoved her to the ground which I found really surprising considering he had always up to this point been some what of a push over in this scenario. (Chuck E Cheese was a nightmare and he would have waited all day for his turn that never comes at that place unless you play a lil dirty) The mom of course apologized and I did too because that’s what you do in those awkward situations, but Im not going to lie I was a lil glad that he stood up for himself and was thinking in my head “don’t poke the bear” (great parenting skills I know). At this age it’s not really something you can explain to kids I feel like they are either going to do it or not, and I was glad that he did. Granted I told him you don’t shove girls no matter what, not that he gets the difference yet but you can’t start too soon with that message I believe :) So after Alpha female left his “stash” alone not 5 mins later another kid came up and was trying to grab some of these damn apples that Luke was stacking. So Luke went with a lil different strategy this time and just boxed the kid out and when the kid tried a little bit harder Luke turned around and pointed at him and said “NO” with what I can only call the “stink eye” which thankfully worked so there was no physical altercations this time. And all I could think was “what is the deal with these FAKE apples and why are the kids going crazy over them.” I can only hope they never make an appearance again on Tuesday nights hahaha I have had enough of Alpha Mega baby for a while
